was born and raised in Clarion, Pennsylvania....a small town
90 miles north of Pittsburgh. I took an avid interest in the usual
things as a kid, like baseball & dirt bikes, but around ninth grade my parents moved, which meant
attending a rival high school. It was there that I met a someone who
would be influential to my interest of photography, Mr. Sykes. He introduced
me to the typical avenues
that art can take someone, like oil painting and pencil
sketching, and then he showed me his Canon A1 35mm SLR.
Since that day, and through a four year tour in the U.S. Navy in the
80's, the interest was always there....I even had opportunities to shoot
photos of Russian warships or anything else for that matter that had
electronic surveillance equipment onboard. In 1999 I decided to change
direction and delve into sports & portrait photography. In 2002 ProPoint
Media Photography was founded and painting with light hasn't stopped since.
